This section explains the functionality of the Navigation Buttons on the left hand side of your screen. Each button represents a specific function of the VDOSS® System. Please remember, some but not all of the functions of the system are represented here.
Search Frames: This program allows the user to choose a frame from a particular camera, day, hour, and minute. Once a frame is found the user can use the up and down arrows to scroll through previous and future frames or Page-Up and Page-Down to skip through frames more rapidly.
Search Video: This program allows the user to choose a one minute video of frames for a particular camera, day, hour, and minute. The video player then appears and the video can be played by clicking on the play button. It automatically loops continuously but can be stopped with the stop button. Frames can be seen as stills by clicking on the Next or Previous buttons if the video is stopped.
Search Alarms: This program allows the user to choose an Alarm Event for a particular camera and starting time. The video player then appears and the video can be played by clicking on the play button. It automatically loops continuously but can be stopped with the stop button. Frames can be seen as stills by clicking on the Next or Previous buttons if the video is stopped.
Live Pictures: This option allows the user to view live frames from a chosen camera. This is similar to Live Videos but uses less bandwidth.
Live Videos: This option allows the user to view live streaming video from a camera. If this option is chosen the user should not leave the video up for long periods of time since this is very network intensive.
Utilities: This option allows the user to utilities like "Test Cameras", "Test All Cameras", "Status", Maintain and burn CDs with periods of videos and groups of images, etc... More help about these programs is available there.
Maintenance: This option allows the user to maintain Users, Groups, Cameras, Schedules, etc. More help about these programs is available there.
